Md. Shahinoor Rahman is awarded the UNAVCO Scholarship for a short course on ‘InSAR Processing and Theory with GMTSAR’
Md. Shahinoor Rahman, a PhD student of Earth System and Geoinformation Science at George Mason University, USA, has received the UNAVCO scholarship for a short course on InSAR Processing and Theory with GMTSAR. This course will be held in August 2017 at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, University of California, San Diego. UNAVCO is a non-profit university-governed consortium to facilitate geoscience research and education using geodesy which is supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Mr. Rahman is a member of BUETplanners (batch 01) who graduated from the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, BUET in 2007. He is also an Assistant Professor (on study leave) at the BUET-Japan Institute of Disaster Prevention and Urban Safety (BUET-JIDPUS), Bangladesh.
